Men's Tennis Set for Florida Gulf Coast Collegiate Open

Cards begin play Friday
The University of Louisville men's tennis team will travel to Ft. Myers, Fla., for the 2018 FineMark/FGCU Collegiate Open at Bonita Bay Club Friday through Sunday. The Cardinals will compete in a field that includes host Florida Gulf Coast, Illinois, Memphis, Arkansas and Kentucky.
"We are excited to play in the first-ever FGCU Invitational at the Bonita Bay Club," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "The amenities are beautiful here and the competition is also at a high level. Clement, Fred, Fabien and Alex have been preparing on clay courts. Events like this is a great example of student-athlete experience."
The Cardinals are coming off of a successful showing at the Louisville Fall Invitational where senior Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff captured the 'A' singles title and freshman Fabien Salle reached the 'A' semifinals. Fellow rookie Alex Wesbrooks advanced to the semifinals of the 'B' singles flight.
