Lacrosse Announces 2017 Fall Schedule

The Cardinals’ fall schedule is highlighted by home contests on Sep. 30 and Oct. 21.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville women's lacrosse head coach Kellie Young announced the program's fall schedule on Thursday, highlighted by home contests on Sep. 30 and Oct. 21.

"We have an exciting and challenging fall schedule ahead of us against some of the best talent in the country," said Young. "These games bring opportunities for our players to showcase what they've worked on throughout the summer, while they learn to play together and attack the game. We are excited to see their growth, while welcoming the first year talent to the fold."Â

The Cardinals open the fall schedule on Sept. 10, as they travel to Nashville, Tenn., to play in a tournament at Vanderbilt.Â

On Sep. 30, they host a three-team tournament during Alumnae Weekend at U of L Lacrosse Field. Louisville plays Marquette and Vanderbilt and then squares off against alumnae to conclude the day's events.

They then travel to Sparks, Md., on Saturday, Oct. 14, to play at Tierney Field, the home of U.S. Lacrosse, to face Georgetown at 10 a.m., Boston at noon, and John Hopkins at 2:00 p.m. ET.
The next day, the Cardinals venture an hour south to Annapolis, Md., to participate in the U. S. Naval Academy Tournament.
