No. 14 Women’s Basketball Concludes Regular Season Sunday at Wake Forest

The Cardinals and Demon Deacons play on Sunday on ACC Network Extra at 2 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 14 University of Louisville women's basketball team concludes its regular season on Sunday, when it plays at Wake Forest in Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C., at 2 p.m.
The Feb. 26 game is being broadcast on ACC Network Extra, with Evan Lepler (play-by-play) and Stan Lewter (analyst) calling the action. Louisville's radio broadcast can be heard on WKRD 790 AM, featuring Nick Curran (play-by-play) and Adrienne Johnson (analyst).
Louisville (24-6, 11-4 ACC) is coming off its fourth-consecutive victory, a 66-55 decision on 'Senior Night' on Thursday against Virginia. The Cardinals outrebounded the Cavaliers 43-24, converting 17 offensive rebounds into 24 second-chance points. Louisville also scored 17 points off turnovers.
Asia Durr finished with a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds, while Myisha Hines-Allen added 21 points and nine rebounds. Jazmine Jones, who earned her first collegiate start, totaled eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
The sophomore, Durr has maintained a hold as the Cardinals' scoring leader at 18.4 points per game. She has connected on a team-high 93 3-pointers, sixth most nationally. Hines-Allen is averaging 13.2 points and 9.0 rebounds, while Mariya Moore is contributing 13.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and a team-best 4.6 assists.
Wake Forest (15-13, 6-9) has dropped four of its last five games, with its lone win during that stretch coming against NC State.
On Thursday, the Demon Deacons fell 85-64 at Syracuse. While both teams finished the game with 44 rebounds, Syracuse scored 21 points on 17 offensive rebounds. The Orange also collected 29 points off of 25 Demon Deacons turnovers.
Elisa Penna scored a team-high 20 points, while collecting seven rebounds. Kelila Atkinson contributed 14 points off the bench, seven rebounds, and five assists. Ona Udoh contributed eight points and six boards. For Syracuse, Alexis Peterson registered a game-high 25 points, and Briana Day added 17 points and 15 rebounds.
This season, Penna is pacing Wake Forest in scoring at 13.9 points, with a team-high 40 3-pointers. She is one of four starters averaging double figures. Ariel Stephenson is logging 13.0 points, with a team-high 86 assists, while Amber Campbell is totaling 12.3 points. Milan Quinn leads the team in rebounding at 9.6 per game to go with 11.0 points.
Collectively, Wake Forest ranks in the top-50 nationally in rebounds (No. 29) and rebounds per game (No. 50).
SERIES HISTORY – Wake Forest vs. Louisville
Louisville owns a 2-0 series advantage against Wake Forest.
The teams met last year, and Louisville used a strong second-second half performance to earn a 78-54 victory in the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals forced 25 turnovers that translated into 26 points and converted 19-of-25 free throws.
Mariya Moore scored a game-high 26 points, hitting five 3s, and Asia Durr came off the bench for 18 points. Myisha Hines-Allen and Briahanna Jackson each finished with 10 points. Amber Campbell and Ariel Stephenson paced the Demon Deacons with 18 points apiece.
