Rowing Travels to Chattanooga for Head of the Hooch

Cardinals slated to have 12 boats competing in four different events on Saturday afternoon
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville rowing team will have a busy afternoon of competition on Saturday as the Cardinals are scheduled to have 12 boats in action at the Head of the Hooch regatta in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Contested along a 5,000-meter (3.1 miles) course on the Tennessee River ending at Ross's Landing Park in Chattanooga, the Head of the Hooch is one of the world's largest rowing regattas with more than 2,000 boats racing during the two days. Participants come from more than 200 different organizations to compete in the event, which is organized and hosted by the Atlanta Rowing Club (Roswell, Ga.) and the Lookout Rowing Club (Chattanooga, Tenn.).
The Cardinals will only compete during Saturday's schedule starting with two boats in the Women's Championship 8+ at 1:01 p.m., ET. Louisville will have two boats racing in the Women's College Novice 8+ at 2:11 p.m., three boats in the Women's Championship 2x at 4:31 p.m., and five boats in the Women's Championship 4+ at 5:02 p.m.
Following the Head of the Hooch, the Cardinals will close the fall racing schedule at the Rivanna Romp in Charlottesville, Virginia on Nov. 12.
