Cards Pick Up Two Wins at Bobby Bayliss Invitational

Clement Filho and Ciro Lampasas register singles wins
Clement Filho and Ciro Lampasas each won in singles as the University of Louisville men's tennis team completed day two of Notre Dame's Bobby Bayliss Invitational Saturday at Notre Dame's Eck Tennis Pavilion.

"Clement was able to continue his winning streak today after some clutch tennis," said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "Conditions today were very tricky with strong winds. We had several close matches and it was great to see Ciro have a comeback win from being down 8-3 in the final tiebreak."

Filho, a sophomore from Paris, France, registered his second singles win of the weekend, defeating Northwestern's Brendon Kempin 7-5, 3-6, 10-6.

Senior Ciro Lampasas (Houston, Texas) defeated Northwestern's Michael Lorenzini 7-6, 2-6, 10-8 in his second match of the day, rebounding from a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Indiana's Zach Brodney. Junior Brandon Lancaster lost a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Northwestern's Nick Brookes.
