Men's Tennis Set for ITA Ohio Valley Regional

The University of Louisville men's tennis team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional this weekend.

"The Ohio Valley tournament is a great tournament with over two dozen of the best teams in a six state region and they are using their starting lineups," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "This event represents the ACC, SEC, Big 10 and other top conferences. Several of our players will be seeded and the winners get a big to the nationals. What more can you ask for?"

The Cardinals will be represented by Federico Gomez, Clement Filho (No. 30 seed), George Hedley, Ciro Lampasas, Brandon Lancaster (No. 31 seed), Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff, Nicolas Rouanet (No. 21 seed), Parker Wynn (No. 9 seed).

The doubles team of Wynn and Morin-Kougoucheff earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

The tournament will begin Thursday at 8 a.m.
