
Women’s Golf Starts Spring Season at Battle of the Bluegrass State

The dual match between Louisville and Kentucky takes place on Monday in Florida.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf team starts its spring campaign this week, when it takes on Kentucky in the third annual Battle of the Bluegrass State on Monday in Lake Mary, Fla.
The dual match between the two schools will be held at the Timacuan Golf Club, with teams playing 36 holes on the par-72, 6,354-yard course. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. ET.
Louisville, which has won the first two team titles, will utilize a lineup of Lauren Hartlage, Jacqueline Twitty, Olivia Cason, Molly Skapik, and Louise Oxner. Shannon Gramley, Delaney Shah, and Ellen Kehoe will be competing as individuals.
The Cardinals competed in five events in the fall, finishing in the top 10 in four of those competitions. In Louisville's last fall event, the team earned a fifth-place showing at the Cardinal Cup.
A freshman, Hartlage paced the team through 14 rounds of play with a 73.07-stroke average. She finished even or below par six times, earning a pair of top-five finishes. Of those playing at least 10 rounds, Twitty was second on the team in average at 75.21, followed by Skapik at 76.14.
Laura Restrepo won the individual crown at last season's event, leading the Cardinals to an 11-stroke victory.
