Series Notes
- Louisville leads the overall series 17-12 and snapped a four-game losing streak to Marshall. It was the first victory since a 36-0 win at home in 1981.
- It was Bobby Petrino's first win over Marshall during his 12-year coaching career.
- The win over Marshall was the first in Huntington since a 56-0 victory in 1977.

- Tonight's win was the fourth straight over a nonconference opponent.
- Louisville has won 19 of its last 20 games versus Conference USA opponents and head coach Bobby Petrino has won 13 straight.
Player Notes
- Sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson accounted for 479 yards of total offense in the win over Marshall to increase his season total to 1,866 yards — an average of 466.5 yards per game.
- With seven touchdowns this evening, Lamar Jackson has accounted for 25 touchdowns this season, which places him with the eighth-most in a season at UofL. He also has 48 for his career, which ties him with Jay Gruden for sixth in history.
- Jackson rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns to give him 12 rushing touchdowns this season and 23 on his career, which is tied for seventh in school history.
- The Pompano Beach, Fla., native bested his career high for passing touchdowns in a season with 13. He tossed 12 in 12 games played in 2015.
- It's the second time this season that Jackson has accounted for seven or more touchdowns in a game. He had eight in the season opener versus Charlotte on Sept. 1.
- Jackson completed a career-high 24-of-44 passes for a career-high 417 yards and five touchdowns — one shy of tying his career-high. His 417 passing yards were the most since throwing for 411 yards in the win over Syracuse on Sept. 9.
- Brandon Radcliff produced his third-straight 100-yard rushing game and the eighth of his career, which ties him for eighth in school history. His 23 rushing touchdowns are tied with Lamar Jackson for seventh in school history. He finished the game with 19 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown.
- Over the last three games, Radcliff has rushed for 405 yards on 43 carries — an average of 9.4 yards per carry and 135.0 yards per game.
- Malik Williams recorded his first career start at running back. He had two carries for 54 yards tonight.
- Jeremy Smith recorded a career-high three receptions for 33 yards in the win over Marshall.
- James Quick's 71-yard reception in the first quarter was the fourth longest of his career — he recorded a 72-yarder versus Syracuse in 2016; 74 versus FIU in 2014 and 73 yards versus Clemson in 2014. He leads the Cardinals with 16 receptions for 360 yards — an average of 22.5 yards per catch.
- Cole Hikutini tied his career high for receptions in a game with four for 85 yards and his second two-touchdown game of his career. He totaled four receptions versus Virginia last season and Syracuse in 2016. He also recorded a pair of scores in the win over Syracuse last season.
- Safety Josh Harvey-Clemons recorded 11 tackles in the win over Marshall — the third double-digit tackle game of his career.
- Making his fifth-career start, Zykiesis Cannon recorded a career-high nine tackles — besting his previous mark of eight set against Syracuse earlier this season.
- Devonte Fields tied his career-high with eight tackles and picked off his first career pass in the third quarter.
- Blanton Creque booted his first career field goal — a 39-yarder after missing his first career attempt earlier.
- James Hearns recorded a sack to improve his team-leading total to 4.5 sacks. He also forced his third fumble in four games.
