Softball Opens Fall Play Saturday

Cards will face Bellarmine at 12 p.m. and Lake Land College at 2 p.m. Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team will open the 2016-17 fall season on Saturday when they take on Bellarmine at 12 p.m. and Lake Land College at 2 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium. Admission is free.

12:00 p.m. - Bellarmine vs. Louisville
2:00 p.m. - Lake Land vs. Louisville
4:00 p.m. - Bellarmine vs. Lake Land

Louisville finished the 2016 season with a 35-17 overall record and second-place regular-season finish in the ACC and earned its 13^th consecutive NCAA tournament berth. The Cardinals return 15 players from last year's team including All-ACC selections senior pitcher Maryssa Becker, sophomore pitcher/outfielder Megan Hensley and senior outfielder Jordan McNary. Five newcomers will also take the field for the Cards.
