
Cardinals Travel to Palmetto State for Clemson Invitational

Two-day event features nine nationally ranked teams; racing begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m., ET
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following a weekend off from competition, the No. 20 Louisville rowing team returns to action at the Clemson Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Lake Hartwell.
The regatta is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m., ET on Saturday and continue with a Saturday evening session at 5 p.m. The racing will conclude on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. A deep and talented field of teams are slated to compete at the event and they include No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 8 Texas, No. 10 Michigan, No. 13 Indiana, No. 14 Washington State, No. 17 Harvard, No. 19 Syracuse, Columbia, Cornell, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Penn, Tennessee, UCF and UCLA. The teams will compete in varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, second varsity four and novice/third varsity eight races.

In its last outing, Louisville earned a pair of wins at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on April 3 in Bloomington, Indiana. The Cardinals won second varsity four and third varsity four victories against the host Hoosiers and Iowa. Following the Clemson Invitational, Louisville will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan for a matchup against the Michigan Wolverines on April 30.
