Team Record and Series Notes:
- Louisville improves to 1-0 all-time against Central Arkansas and 6-1 all-time against members of the Southland Conference.
- This is the fourth time in school history Louisville has earned a No. 3-seed in the NCAA Tournament and it has won every opening game as a No. 3-seed.
- Louisville has won its opening game in the tournament in nine-consecutive appearances.
Team Notes:
- Louisville is 18-0 this season when holding opponents to 60 points or fewer after allowing 60 points to the Sugar Bears.
- The Cardinals improved to 26-7 after the win. It is their fourth-straight season with at least 26 wins and seventh all-time.
- Louisville eclipsed the 80-point plateau for just the sixth time this season and improved to 6-0 in those games.
- The 87 points is the second most for a single game in Louisville tournament history. The record is 88 points against Idaho in 2014.
- The Cardinals shot 34-for-62 (54.8 percent) from the floor in the win. They are 7-0 in games they shoot above 50 percent.
- Louisville scored a season-high 29 points in the second quarter and a season-high 51 points in the first half.
- The Cardinals scored 50 points in the paint against the Sugar Bears, the most since they scored 52 against Virginia on Jan. 18, 2015.
- Louisville had 22 assists on 34 made field goals (64.7 percent). On the season, the Cardinals have assisted on 62.2 percent of its made baskets.
- It is the 11th game this season that the Cardinals have had 20 or more assists.
- The Cardinals were all over the glass, bringing in 40 rebounds for the 15th time this season.
Player Notes:
- Myisha Hines-Allen scored 25 points in the win over Central Arkansas, the 12th time this season that she had 20 points or more in a game and the 10th-consecutive game she has led the team in scoring.
- She scored 25 points on 12-of-17 shooting, which is tied for second all-time for a single-game in the NCAA tournament. The record is held by Angel McCoughtry, who hit 14 shots in 2008 against North Carolina.
- Sophomore Mariya Moore scored in double figures for the 26th time this season. She finished with 16 points, four rebounds and four assists.
- Asia Durr finished with six rebounds on the afternoon, her fourth game this season with five or more.
- Sam Fuehring set a season high in assists with four and blocks with two.
- Freshman Erin DeGrate scored seven points off the bench, her eighth game with five or more points.
- Briahanna Jackson dished out a team-high five assists, the sixth time this season she has led the team in assists.
- Dakota Weatherford set a season high in steals with three. She finished with seven points, two rebounds and three steals.
