- No. 13 Louisville improved to 18-5 overall, 10-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
- The Cardinals' 10-0 start in league play is the second-best start in conference play, only trailing the 2012-13 team's 11-0 run to open the American Athletic Conference schedule.
- The Cardinals have beaten the Tar Heels in three-consecutive meetings, tying the series at three games apiece.
- Louisville returns to action on Sunday, when it faces third-ranked Notre Dame in the KFC Yum! Center at 2 p.m.

- Louisville earned its 15th-consecutive victory, which is tied for the second-longest streak in school history (2006-07).
- The Cardinals improved to 14-0 with the starting lineup of Myisha Hines-Allen, Mariya Moore, Cortnee Walton, Arica Carter, and Briahanna Jackson.
- Louisville, in the 78-60 win, improved to 14-1 when scoring 70 or more points this season. Under head coach Jeff Walz, Louisville boasts a 154-15 (.911) record when reaching at least 70 points.
- North Carolina scored eight points in the fourth quarter, marking the 10th time this season a league opponent has scored less than 10 points in a period. It is tied for the fewest in the final quarter (Tennessee Tech, Syracuse).
- Louisville rattled off 35 points in the third quarter, the most in that period this season. It is tied for the most points in any period this season, matching the 35 points the Cardinals scored in the fourth quarter in the win over NC State.
- The Cardinals connected on seven 3-pointers in the game, five in the second half, hitting at least five for the 18th time this year.
- Louisville grabbed 16 offensive rebounds in comparison to North Carolina's six. The Cardinals have collected double-digit boards on the offensive end in 20 games this year.
- Four different players had two steals in the game.
- Louisville limited North Carolina to just 4-for-21 (.190) beyond the arc. Over the last four games, opponents are shooting only 18.9 percent (14-of-74) from 3-point range.

- Louisville scored its first two points of the game before tipoff. The Cardinals were awarded a pair of free throws because of an equipment malfunction in the arena that resulted in a North Carolina technical foul.

Louisville Individual Notes
- Myisha Hines-Allen finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for her seventh career double-double.
- Hines-Allen went 5-for-5 at the charity stripe to improve her season percentage to 71.9.
- Mariya Moore produced a game-high 22 points, boosting her career total to 794 through 57 games.
- Moore had three triples in the contest, her 11th game with as many.
- Asia Durr scored 21 points, her third game this year she has tallied at least 20. The freshman now is averaging 14.3 points in conference play on 47 percent shooting, including a 40-percent clip from 3.
- Durr grabbed a season-high eight boards.
- Cortnee Walton totaled nine rebounds, eight on the defensive end. She leads the Cardinals in conference play at 7.8 rebounds per game.
