Team Record and Series Notes:
- No. 11 Louisville won its 18th of the last 19, moving to 21-6 overall and 12-1 in ACC play.
- After splitting both meetings last season, the Cardinals finished off the season sweep of the Cavaliers after the 74-59 victory. They are now 3-2 overall against Virginia.
- Louisville hits the road for consecutive-conference contests, beginning with Sunday's matchup at Boston College at 1 p.m.
Team Notes:
- Louisville earned its 100th conference victory under the watch of head coach Jeff Walz, who boasts a 100-43 (.700) league record in nine years.
- The Cardinals have won 12 conference games in three-consecutive seasons after improving to 12-1 in ACC play with the win over Virginia.
- The Cardinals are 12-0 this season when holding opponents to 59 points or fewer after allowing 59 points to the Cavaliers. It is the seventh ACC opponent this season they have held under 60 points.
- Louisville held Mikayla Venson to only seven points on 2-of-8 shooting. She came into the game seventh in the ACC in scoring with 15.3 points per game and this was only the fourth time this season she has been held to single-digit points.
- The Cardinals distributed the ball well and finished with 15 assists, improving their streak of double-digit assists to 52-straight games dating back to Dec. 15, 2014.
- Louisville did not allow any fast break points for the seventh time this season.
- The Cardinals were all over the glass, bringing in 41 rebounds, the 11th time this season they have had 40 or more.
Player Notes:
- Myisha Hines-Allen continued her All-America worthy play with her second-consecutive double-double and third-consecutive 20-point outing. It is her ninth career double-double, eighth of the season, and eighth 20-point performance on the year.
- Mariya Moore scored in double-figures for the seventh-consecutive game and 22nd time this season, while grabbing seven rebounds, which ties a season high.
- Moore tallied 12 of her 18 points in the first period, the most in the first period by any Cardinal this season.
- Asia Durr continued to be a spark off the bench after scoring 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc.
- Freshman Taja Cole added two points, two rebounds and tied a season high in assists with five.
- Cortnee Walton grabbed double-digit rebounds for the third time in the last four games and set a career high in blocks with two.
- Walton had seven offensive rebounds, her 12th game with at least five.
- Briahanna Jackson scored 11 points in the win over the Cavaliers, her 19th double-digit scoring outing of the season.
