Women's Tennis Set to Host Marshall

Cards play at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center
The University of Louisville women's tennis team will host Marshall at 3 p.m  Friday, Feb. 12 in the Bass Rudd Tennis Center.Â
The Cardinals (6-1) are coming off a split last weekend when they beat Murray State but fell to Middle Tennessee in a 4-3 match that came down to the final swing. The Cards are led by Olivia Boesing and Ariana Rodriguez, both of whom are undefeated in singles this season. The Cardinals have wins against WKU, Southern Illinois, Northern Kentucky, Xavier, Morehead State and Murray State.
The Herd is 3-2 this season after beating Morehead State and Radford last Friday. Marshall swept the Eagles in the morning session, 7-0, and followed up with a 6-1 win over the Highlanders in the night cap. Look for Anna Pomyatinskaya  Derya Turhan,  Anne Gulsrud, and Marija Bogicevic to lead the Herd with each having shutout their opponent in at least one set.Â
Next up for the Cards will be the ACC opener at Pitt on Feb. 19 with a Feb. 21 date with Notre Dame in South Bend.Â
