- Louisville won its ninth game of the season, beating South Dakota State 83-30.
- This was the first meeting between the two programs.
- With the win, the Cardinals' record against current members of the Summit League improves to 14-0.
- Louisville returns to action on Friday, when it faces the College of Charleston at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals won the only other meeting between the two teams 71-67 in Charleston last year.

- Jazmine Jones scored a game-high and season-best 15 points on a season-high six made field goals, while registering four rebounds, one steal, and her first block.
- Jones started the night connecting on her first five field goals.
- Myisha Hines-Allen tallied 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals in the victory.
- Hines-Allen's 10 points gave her 1,113 in her career, moving her into sole possession of 18th place on the all-time scoring list, passing both Gwen Doyle (1,104, 1990-1992) and Marla Inman Eltrevoog (1,107, 1994-97). She needs 73 points to move into sole possession of 17th place (Joan Dunaway Burks, 1,185, 1977-81).
- Sydney Zambrotta scored 10 points, dished out a season-high two assists, and had one steal.
- Cortnee Walton registered six points and nine rebounds, including five on the offense end.
- Mariya Moore scored three points, grabbed two rebounds, and two steals in the victory.
