Men's Tennis Concludes Fall Season This Weekend

Cards travel to Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic and CCB Collegiate Invitational
The University of Louisville men's tennis team will wrap up the fall season this weekend at both the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic at Lakewood Ranch in Florida and the CCB Collegiate Invitational at The Country Club of Birmingham hosted by the University of Alabama.

Sophomore Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff and juniors Nicolas Rouanet, Ciro Lampasas and Santiago Salazar will accompany head coach Rex Ecarma to Bradenton, Fla. for the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic which will be held Nov. 4-6. The tournament will consist of a 32-player singles draw and 16-team doubles draw with players from the SEC, ACC, BIG 10 and the PAC 10.

"We are excited to be invited to the Vitale Collegiate Invitational. It is a high level event with teams such as Florida, Illinois, Princeton, Duke, Miami, South Florida among others," said Ecarma. "Chris, Ben and Michelle make such a great effort to make it a great experience for the players and the Lakewood Ranch Country Club members are big tennis fans."

Junior Clement Filho, sophomores Brandon Lancaster and Michael Quang and freshman Fredrik Moe will head to Birmingham with assistant coach Rex Ecarma to compete in the CCB Collegiate Invitational Nov. 4-6. The Cards will compete in a field that features 10 other teams including: Alabama, LSU, Middle Tennessee, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas, Troy, Tulane and UAB. Doubles play will begin on Friday.

"I am glad to be back in Birmingham for this tournament," said Gustafsson. "It will be a great experience for our guys to compete in a college tournament on clay courts. With this being our final fall tournament, we hope to play our best tennis and show off our hard work."
