Fans can use their men’s basketball ticket stub against Purdue for a $3 ticket to the Maryland contest.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's basketball team starts a six-game homestand this week, with several family friendly offers and promotions beginning Thursday.
The Cardinals, who take part in their third annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 1 against No. 6/5-ranked Maryland, welcome all local businesses in the city to see the contest for $3. Fans who bring their men's basketball ticket stub from the game against Purdue (Wednesday, Nov. 30) can receive $3 admission as well.
Three days later, Louisville and Kentucky square off for the Battle of the Bluegrass on Sunday. Cardinals fans are encouraged to wear red and display their Kroger plus card for a $3 ticket to the game as part of the 'Kroger Pack the House' initiative.
The Cardinals, continuing the instate rivalries, face Western Kentucky on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Kids in eighth grade and younger can participate in 'Spirit Day.' The UofL dance team will work with participants to teach them dance moves and perform a halftime routine. Ticket packages are $30 and include a T-shirt, bow, ticket, and drawstring bag. Additional tickets can be purchased for $3 for guests. Also, Catholic School Athletic Association teams will receive a $3 group rate ticket per person through their schools.
Louisville wraps up the stretch with games against South Dakota State, College of Charleston, and Evansville.
On Dec. 16, Louisville's game against the Cougars will be themed for the holidays. It will be 'Ugly Sweater Night' at the KFC Yum! Center, and Santa will be in town before Christmas, taking pictures with fans and handing out candy canes. Carolers will be throughout the arena to spread the holiday cheer.
In facing Evansville, the second-to-last nonconference game, the Cardinals will host local fitness groups and crossfit gyms to promote healthy lifestyles. Groups will receive a $3 ticket per person. Also, Louie's Fit Friends receive free admission and will be honored during the game for completing 30 minutes of activity per day in working toward maintaining a healthy life.
The promotion schedule for the remainder of the Cardinals' 2016-17 regular season is available here.
