- Louisville suffered its first defeat of the season, falling 83-59 to third-ranked South Carolina.
- After having won the last meeting between the two programs in 1991, South Carolina's victory gives it a 17-4 series advantage.
- The Cardinals capped their time in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Challenge with a 3-1 record.

- Moore hit 6-of-7 free throws, giving her 270 for her career. She needs 24 to pass Nell Knox (293, 1989-93) for seventh on the school's career chart.
- Asia Durr was the Cardinals' second-leading scorer, totaling 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting over 33 minutes.
- Durr, who also had one block and two steals hit 3 of 5 3-pointers. She has 28 treys through seven games this year, an average of four per contest. She is connecting on 3-pointers at a 50.0 percent rate this season (28 of 56).

- Cortnee Walton saw her first minutes on the court this season. The redshirt senior, who is recovering from a right arm injury, totaled two points and three rebounds in 14 minutes.
- Ciera Johnson registered three blocks, giving her seven-consecutive contests with at least one swat. She has 16 blocks in seven games.
