The University of Louisville's Nicolas Rouanet wrapped up singles play at the USTA/ITA Birmingham Futures Tournament on Monday.
Â
The junior from Paris, France posted a 3-1 record in the tournament, defeating players from the United States, Spain and Germany before falling 6-1, 7-6 (3) to Alexandru Gozun from Moldova on Monday. Â
Â
"This was a good tournament for Nico with several impressive wins," said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "Today he came close but faced his polar opposite player who was just a little too good on the day. Nico continues to grow as a player and should walk away confident from this tournament."
