Freshman Parker Wynn helped the Cards to six wins on day two

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Freshman Parker Wynn advanced to the singles round of 16 as the Cards picked up six wins in the 2016 Ohio Valley Regional Championship Presented by Oracle Friday.

In singles action, 25^th-seeded Wynn advanced to the round of 16 after upending East Tennessee State's No. 11 seeded Robert Herrera 7-6(7-4), 6-1. After reaching round of 32, Morin-Kougoucheff fell 6-4, 6-1 to firfth-seeded Ryan Peniston of Memphis and Rouanet lost to Kentucky's 13^th-seeded Yates 6-0, 6-1.

In the consolation draw, Hedley defeated Stephen Goldman 6-1, 6-0 while Donohue topped Ball State's Conner Andersen 1-6, 7-5, 10-5. Middle Tennessee's Max Rauch edged Salazar 7-5, 7-5.

In doubles, juniors Nicolas Rouanet and Ciro Lampasas defeated Xavier's Matt Bishop and Gabe Arajua 8-3, to advance to the round of 16, where they fell 8-5 to tenth-seeded Timo Stodder and Scott Jones from Tennessee.

Senior Sean Donohue and sophomore George Hedley outlasted Belmont's Hendrik Inno and Cedrik Dujacquier 8-7(11) in their second round match. The duo went on to face the tournament's overall No. 1 seeded tandem, Tennessee's Jack Schipanski and Luis Valero and lost 8-3 in the round of 16.

Sophomore Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff and freshman Parker Wynn took down Kentucky's seventh-seeded pair of Nils Ellefsen and Trey Yates, but lost an 8-7 battle to Northern Kentucky's Mate Virag and Lukas Clemens 8-7.

Redshirt junior Santiago Salazar and sophomore Brandon Lancaster lost 8-6 to Butler's Aviv Shabat and Ari Gerstein.
