
Women's Tennis Heads to Georgia Tech and Clemson

The University of Louisville women's tennis team will continue their road schedule for two key ACC matchups this weekend. The Cards will face No. 27 Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. on Friday before taking on No. 23 Clemson at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Cards currently sit at 10-6 in dual match play and 2-2 in conference play after splitting matches last weekend. The Cardinals defeated North Carolina State 4-3 before falling to No. 1 North Carolina 4-0. Sophomore Oliva Boesing improved to 10-2 in duals play after winning her singles match last weekend. Jessie Lynn Paul continues her strong freshman campaign holding a 10-3 duals record. The team of Elle Stokes and Ariana Rodriguez (8-3) and Chloe Willetts and Olivia Boesing (10-4) lead the Cardinals in No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.
No. 56 Georgia Tech boasts a 4-4 record in dual matches after falling to No. 1 North Carolina 5-2 and defeating North Carolina State 4-1. The Yellow Jackets are led by freshmen Paige Hourigan and Johnnise Renaud at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Hourigan holds a No. 57 national ranking and boasts a 4-2 duals record while Renaud holds a No. 67 national ranking and boasts a 3-5 duals record. Three doubles teams have national rankings for the Yellow Jackets. The team of Hourigan and Kendal Woodard holds a No. 36 ranking and a perfect 4-0 duals record in doubles. Rasheeda McAdoo and Alexis Prokopuik hold a No. 41 ranking while the team of Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer and Prokopuik holds a No. 50 ranking.
No. 15 Clemson holds a 7-5 record in dual match play this season after defeating No. 52 Florida State 4-3 and falling to No. 20 Miami 7-0. The Tigers are led by seniors Beatrice Gumulya and Jessy Rompies who holds a No. 1 national ranking in doubles and a perfect 9-0 duals record. Junior Joana Eidukonyte who holds a No. 20 national ranking and an 8-2 record in dual matches. Senior Romy Koelzer (No. 58), Gumulya (No. 82) and junior Tristen Dewar (No. 119) also hold a singles national ranking for Clemson.
The Cardinals will continue their ACC schedule as they host No. 53 Wake Forest and No. 1 North Carolina next weekend at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
