
Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at the CCB Collegiate Invitational

Morin-Kougoucheff wins in consolation finals, Salazar wins third place match
The University of Louisville's wrapped up the fall season with singles three wins in the CCB Collegiate Invitational.

"We got better and better this weekend, with better tennis and better results" said UofL assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "We have a tough spring season ahead and these players have seen all the fall has to offer. Now we need to continue to improve in all aspects as we look forward to the off-season."

Playing in the finals of the Crimson Division back draw, freshman Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff defeated South Alabama's Juan Troglia 6-3, 6-3. Â Freshman George Hedley topped Middle Tennessee's Guillermo Artiz 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in the fifth place match of the Houndstooth Division. Sophomore Santiago Salazar registered a 6-3, 6-3 win over teammate freshman Christian Haushammer in the third place match of the White Division.

The Cardinals will open the spring season on Jan. 15 when they play host to Troy University and Dayton in a doubleheader at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
