Women's Basketball's 2015 Recruiting Class Update

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team's 2015 signing class, deemed first in the nation by multiple recruiting services, is performing in the high school ranks at a rate consistent with their overall rankings.
The group, which signed in mid-November in 2014, features five five-star products from five different states. Each ranks in the top-15 nationally at their respective positions according to ESPN HoopGurlz.
The No. 1-ranked player according to multiple outlets, Asia Durr has played in 13 games for St. Pius X Catholic in Atlanta and leads the squad with 31.1 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals. Durr, who is trying to help the Golden Lions capture another state title, has helped navigate the program to a 13-1 mark. She has connected on 52 percent of her shots, 54 percent from inside the arc and 47 percent from 3. Durr is knocking down 83 percent of her free throws.
Breaking down her play this year, Durr has scored more than 20 points on 11 occasions that includes 40-, 44-, and 49-point performances. She notched her first double-double of the year on Dec. 19, tallying 49 points and 13 rebounds.
Erin DeGrate, one of the top post players in the class, is already 22 games into her season at La Vega High (20-2) in Waco, Texas. The incoming center, also attempting to lead her school to another state crown, is averaging 18.6 points and 8.1 rebounds, while connecting on 55 percent of her shots.
DeGrate has produced nine double-doubles, including at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in a game six times. She poured in a season-high 30 points on Dec. 5.
Taja Cole, who has led Lloyd C. Bird High in Virginia to a 6-2 mark, is tallying 22.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 3.8 steals per game this year. The 5-foot-7 guard has scored at least 20 points in five contests, counting her season-high 34 on Dec. 27. Defensively, Cole has registered three or more steals in seven games, including the last four straight.
Brianna Jones, through six games, is averaging a stellar 27.7 points and 8.3 rebounds. Her scoring average ranks as the third best in the conference, and she produced three-consecutive double-doubles: 34 points and 14 rebounds on Dec. 15; 36 points and 21 rebounds on Dec. 18; and, 23 points and 15 rebounds on Dec. 20.
Samantha Fuehring has competed in eight games this year for Lodi Immaculate (5-3) in New Jersey and is averaging 14.6 points and 7.2 rebounds along with 1.8 blocks.
She has reached double-figure points in seven contests, while producing two double-doubles (17 points, 13 rebounds on Dec. 23; 17 points, 11 rebounds on Jan. 4).
