Team Notes
- With the win, head coach Jeff Walz collected his 200th career victory. He now has a 200-72 record in his eight years at Louisville, reaching 200 wins nine games quicker than Connecticut head coach Geno Auriemma.
- With the victory over Syracuse, Louisville has won 20 consecutive home games in the month of January. Its last loss was on Jan. 23, 2010, against Syracuse.
- With the win over Syracuse, Louisville now has three victories over AP Top 25 teams this season. It beat Iowa on Dec. 4, 2014, and California on Dec. 21, 2014.
- The Cardinals boast a 43-20 record in the month of January under Jeff Walz after the victory over Syracuse.
- With the win over the Syracuse, Louisville is 71-9 all-time in the KFC Yum! Center.
- The Cardinals dished out 26 assists on 31 made baskets in the victory over Syracuse. This is the ninth game they have had 20 or more assists.
- Louisville collected 15 offensive rebounds in the win over Syracuse. It has had at least 15 offensive boards in 12 games this season.

Player Notes
- Myisha Hines-Allen tied her season high in points with 23 against Syracuse. She is the first freshman to score 20 or more points in consecutive games since Shoni Schimmel achieved that feat from Dec. 20-28, 2010.
- Sara Hammond set a career high in assists with eight. She also set a season high in rebounds with 12.
- Hammond scored 13 points to give her three double-doubles on the year and 17 in her career.
- Mariya Moore scored 21 points, marking the fourth game this season she has tallied 20 points or more.
- Moore also grabbed her 100th career rebound in the win. She now has 102 in her career.
- Myisha Hines-Allen and Mariya Moore each scored at least 20 points in the win, marking the first time two Louisville players tallied 20 in a game since Shoni Schimmel (27) and Sara Hammond (22) achieved the feat against UCF on Jan. 15, 2014.
- Arica Carter set a season high in blocks with two in the win over Syracuse.
- Shawnta' Dyer grabbed eight rebounds in the victory over Syracuse. This is the sixth game this season she has grabbed seven or more.
- Bria Smith dished out seven assists, marking the second consecutive game, and fourth overall this season, with six or more assists.
- Jude Schimmel scored 13 points in the win over Syracuse. This is the eighth time this season she has scored in double-digits.
