Team Notes
- Friday's game marked Louisville's first Atlantic Coast Conference contest in school history. It is the sixth conference Louisville has been affiliated with since its inception in 1975.
- Under head coach Jeff Walz, the Cardinals have won six of their last seven conference openers and are 3-0 in home openers after the win over Georgia Tech.
- Louisville is now 28-12 all-time in the first game of the new year.
- The Cardinals boast a 37-19 record in the month of January under Jeff Walz after the victory over Georgia Tech.
- After the win over Georgia Tech, Louisville is 67-9 all-time in the KFC Yum! Center.
- Georgia Tech is the second of three opponents Louisville faces this year for the first time. It defeated first-time opponent Lafayette on Nov. 28 and plays at Wake Forest on Jan. 11.
- The Cardinals recorded 10 steals in the win over Georgia Tech, giving them double-digits thefts in 12 of their 14 games this season.

- The Cardinals forced 24 turnovers in the win over Georgia Tech. It is the 10th time this season in which they have forced 20 or more turnovers.
- Louisville shot 30-for-60 from the floor against Georgia Tech, marking the seventh time this season they have shot 50 percent from the floor.
- The Cardinals +27 margin of victory was the largest in a conference-opener since Dec. 15, 2010, when they defeated Cincinnati 78-40.
- Louisville held Georgia Tech without a fast-break point, a feat the Cardinals achieved three-consecutive times to start the year. It happened nine times last year, including in the NCAA Tournament against LSU on March 30, 2014.
- Defensively, Louisville held Kaela Davis to her lowest-point total of the season with. Her previous low was 13 points against Green Bay on Nov. 28.

- She also had her worst shooting performance of the season (2-for-15) and matched a season-worst with five turnovers.
Player Notes
- With her basket at the 19:50 mark in the second half, Sara Hammond moved into 23rd all-time in school history for scoring. She currently has 1,054 points, passing Tuonisia Turner, who scored 1,048 during her career from 1988-92.
- Mariya Moore tied her season high in points with 22 against Georgia Tech. She set a season high in field goals made with nine.
- Bria Smith had nine points in the win over Georgia Tech, giving her 1,084 for her career. She needs just two more to pass Misty Smith (1994-98) for 20th all-time in school history for scoring.

- Smith recorded three steals in the victory, marking her fifth game with at least three steals this season.
