- The Cardinals are now 5-0 in league play after the victory over Virginia and moved to first place in the ACC standings with Miami losing to Duke earlier in the day. This is the fourth time in school history they have reached that plateau (1996-97, 2008-09, 2013-14, 2014-15).
- The Cardinals boast a 41-19 record in the month of January under Jeff Walz after the victory over Virginia.
- After the win over Virginia, Louisville is 69-9 all-time in the KFC Yum! Center.
- Louisville recorded its first win against Virginia. It now owns a 1-1 all-time record against the Cavaliers.
