AAC Honors 248 Student-Athletes for Academic Achievements

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The American Athletic Conference recognized 248 University of Louisville student-athletes on the conference's all-academic team on Wednesday for completing at least 18 credit hours and maintaining a 3.0 grade-point average or higher for the 2013-14 academic year.
Louisville's total was the highest among all schools in the league. The AAC all-academic football team was announced in February and those numbers are not reflected in this announcement. The Cardinals had 19 football student-athletes recognized.
On Tuesday, Louisville had a league-high seven student-athletes earn AAC Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Awards for their respective sports.
The nominations for the all-academic team are reviewed and approved by the American Athletic Conference Academic Affairs Committee. A total of 1,783 honorees earned conference academic honors.
Field hockey and women's lacrosse, which competed in the BIG EAST in 2013-14, also are not included.
