No. 4 Louisville Travels to UCF on Tuesday

The fourth ranked Cardinals will travel to Central Florida on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. tip at CFE Arena. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. It can also be heard live on the Cards Radio with Matt Andrews and Adrienne Johnson, carried locally on WKRD 790 AM.
Tia Gibbs led Louisville with 19 points in its 79-59 victory over South Florida on Sunday. She was 5 of 7 from the 3-point line and hit all four of her free throws. Shoni Schimmel added another 14 points while Antonita Slaughter contributed 12 points. Sara Hammond rounded out the top scorers another 12 points and 8 rebounds. This was Louisville's 15th consecutive win, which ties the program's longest winning streak set in the 2006-2007 season.
The Cardinals have an overall record of 22-1 and a conference record of 10-0. Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 18.3 points per game. Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.6 points. She also leads the team in rebounding with 6.6 boards per game. Asia Taylor ranks third on the team in scoring with 10.1 points per game. She also ranks just under Hammond in rebounding with 6.4 boards per game.
Central Florida enters Tuesday's game with an overall record of 9-12 and a 2-8 record in conference play. On Sunday UCF defeated Houston 52-43 for a sweep of the series. The Knights were led by junior forward Stephanie Taylor who had a career-high 19 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds. Redshirt forward Brittni Montgomery added a game-high 13 rebounds.
Senior forward Sara Djassi ranks second on the team with 12.0 points per game. Freshman guard Zykira Lewis rounds out the top scorers averaging 11.0 points per game. Montgomery is the leading rebounder for Central Florida, pulling down 9.0 boards per game.
Louisville leads the series 2-0 against UCF. Louisville defeated UCF 75-56 in the last meeting on Jan. 15.
