Senior guard Tia Gibbs is in her fifth season at Louisville. She has returned to the court for her final season after missing the last two seasons with injuries. Gibbs has made a big impact on the team this season.
Gibbs has helped guide the fourth ranked Cardinals to a 25-2 overall record and a 13-1 conference record this season. She has started eight games this season and is averaging 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. She ranks second on the team in free throw percentage, connecting on 78.3 percent from the line.
She scored a career-high 23 points against Oklahoma in the preseason WNIT Championship game. She also pulled down a season-high nine rebounds against the Sooners. So far this season she has scored double figures in five games. She ranks sixth for steals in a season with 95 during her sophomore season. She has currently scored 493 points as a Cardinal, averaging 8.1 per game.
