LOUISVILLE TEAM NOTES
- Thursday's game was the 88th all-time between Louisville and Memphis with the Cardinals holding a 53-35 lead overall.
- The Cardinals' four-game winning streak against the Tigers was ended with the loss. The last Louisville loss to Memphis prior to Thursday was Feb. 9, 2005.
- Louisville dropped to 31-12 all-time at home against Memphis.
- Ranked seventh in the nation in steals entering the week at 10.0 per game, the Cardinals finished with 12 on Thursday night.
- Memphis was 28-of-55 from the field for 50.9 percent to become just the second team this season to shoot better than 50 percent against the Cardinals (North Carolina, 32-of-59, 54.2 percent).
- Thursday marked the second straight game and the third time this season an opponent has finished with more assists than the Cardinals after Memphis had a 14-13 advantage.
- Memphis finished with a 37-35 edge on the glass marking the fifth straight game the Cardinals have been outrebounded. Louisville is 4-3 this season when being outrebounded by its opponent.
- The Cardinals dropped their home conference opener for just the second time in the last six seasons.

- With his 19 points on Thursday, senior Russ Smith moved from 20th to 19th on the Cardinals' career scoring leaderboard with 1,520 total points surpassing Nate Johnson (1,513 points, 1996-2000). Smith is 45 points behind Terrence Williams (1,565 points, 2005-09) in 18th overall.
- With four steals, Smith moved into sixth on Louisville's career list with 213 total steals surpassing Terrence Williams (210 steals, 2005-09). Smith is four steals behind Alvin Sims (217 steals, 1993-97) in fifth position overall.
- Senior Luke Hancock scored a season-high 20 points and matched a career-high with five assists.
- Sophomore Montrezl Harrell scored 14 points (on 7-of-13 shooting from the field) with 11 rebounds to earn his second career double-double and the first since he had 14 points and 12 rebounds against Fairfield on Nov. 23, 2013.
- Junior Chris Smith scored just two points on Thursday for his lowest-scoring outing of the season. The previous low was five points twice against FIU and UCF.
