
Forty-Three Student-Athletes Participate in Fall Graduation Ceremony

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - They excelled both in athletics and the classroom at the University of Louisville. On Thursday, 43 current or former student-athletes participated in the fall graduation ceremony in the Freedom Hall.
A total of 14 different teams were recognized at the ceremony, with football leading the way, boasting 11 graduates.
The class features multiple award winners and All-Americans. Football's Hakeem Smith was recognized in 2010 as a Rivals.com first team All-American and a Phil Steele freshman second team All-American. A pair of volleyball players - Lola Arslanbekova and Gwen Rucker - earned AVCA All-America honors last week, while baseball's Thomas Royse and Phil Wunderlich earned All-America honors during their careers.
Renardo Foster, who graduated through the Houston/Bridgeman Fellows Degree Completion Program, spent four years in the National Football League. He had stints with the Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints.
