LOUISVILLE TEAM NOTES
- Louisville improved to 2-0 all-time against Illinois State.
- The Cardinals moved to 4-0 at home this season and 39-6 all-time at the KFC Yum! Center (.866 winning percentage).

LOUISVILLE PLAYER NOTES
- Senior guard Peyton Siva had one steal on Saturday to move into a tie for 10th place on the Cardinals' career steals leaderboard with Nate Johnson (1996-2000) at 182. Rick Wilson (1974-78) is No. 9 all-time with 183, while Reece Gaines (1999-2003) is No. 8 with 191.
- Siva scored a season-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field, including 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range.
- The four three-point baskets for Siva were a season-high and matched a career-high achieved twice previously.
- In his last three games, Siva is averaging 17.3 points per game while shooting 52.7 percent (19-of-36) from field. He is also 7-for-14 from three-point range in the last three games.
- Junior guard Russ Smith scored a season-high 24 points, including a career-best 11 free throws on 14 attempts. Through the first six games of the season, Smith was 13-of-17 from the free throw line.
- Smith has 16 or more points in all seven games this season. He has 20 or more points three times in seven games.
- Smith has been the Cardinals' leading scoring in five of seven games this season, including Saturday.
- Sophomore forward Chane Behanan scored a season-high 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. He also added a team-high nine rebounds.
- Senior forward Stephan Van Treese came off the bench for a season-high 34 minutes of action. He scored six points on 3-for-3 shooting from the field while matching a season-high with eight rebounds.
- In the Cardinals' last two games, Van Treese has averaged seven points while shooting 7-of-8 from the field with 16 total rebounds.
- Junior guard Luke Hancock matched a career-high with four assists.
