
Women's Basketball Travels to DePaul

Louisville women's basketball (17-4, 6-2) will travel to Chicago on Tuesday, Jan. 31 for a BIG EAST Conference showdown at No. 22 DePaul (16-6, 4-4) in McGrath Arena at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday's game will be televised on CBS Sports Network with Jason Knapp and Michelle Blackburn calling the action.
The Cardinals are coming off a 62-58 win over Villanova on Saturday. Three players are averaging double figures with sophomore Shoni Schimmel leading the team with 13.6 points per game while leading the team with 4.5 assists per game. Senior Becky Burke is second with 12.0 points per game while freshman Bria Smith is averaging 11.0 points per game. Cierra Warren leads the team on the boards with 4.6 rebounds per game.
DePaul is coming off a 71-59 win over Seton Hall on Saturday. Junior guard Anna Martin leads DePaul in scoring with 18.6 points per game. Martin leads the team with 46 made three-pointers, connecting on 43 percent from long range. Freshman guard Brittany Hrynko ranks second on the team in scoring with 11.o points per game while shooting 33 percent from long range. Sophomore Jasmine Penny rounds out the top scorers with 10.2 points per game. Junior Katherine Harry leads the team on the boards with 8.9 rebounds per game.
DePaul leads the series 14-13 over the Cardinals. The Cardinals are 5-8 against the Blue Demons on the road. Tuesday's contest will air on the U of L Radio Network (WKRD 790 AM) with Matt Andrews and Adrienne Johnson announcing.
