Softball Sweeps Morehead State 5-4 and 1-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville completed a doubleheader sweep of Morehead State, defeated the Eagles 5-4 and 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Ulmer Stadium.
In game one, sophomore Jordan Trimble's two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh lifted Louisville to a 5-4 win. The Cards entered the bottom of the seventh trailing 4-2. Freshman Kayla Soles delivered a leadoff double and scored on Whitney Arion's double to cut the lead to one run. Trimble sent a shot over the fence to give the Cards the 5-4 win.
In game two, senior Kristin Austin's run in the first proved to be enough as the Cards prevailed 1-0 over the Eagles. Austin drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the first and moved to second when junior Chelsea Jordan reached on an error and came around to score when Taner Fowler reached on a fielder's choice.
