
Women's Tennis Falls to No. 19 Tulsa

The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to No. 19-ranked Tulsa 6-1 in Tulsa Saturday evening.
The Cardinals just barely lost the doubles point when Rebecca Shine and Julia Fellerhoff fell 8-7 (7-2) in a tiebreaker at No. 1 and then Stefanie Villajuan and Amelia Harris were edged 8-6 in a hard-fought loss at No. 2.
After dropping the doubles point, the Cardinals suffered their first singles loss when No. 5 singles player Gabrielle Duncan lost 6-0, 6-1 to Sam Vickers. Kaysara Mandry was the next Cardinal to fall when she lost 6-3, 6-4. The match was clinched when No. 1 singles player Alexandra Kichoutkin beat U of L's top player, Julia Fellerhoff, 6-4, 6-2.
Cardinal Rebecca Shine shone with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Anastasia Erfeeva at No. 2.
The Cardinals are idle until April 15 when they head to Houston to play Rice at noon. They then head crosstown to University of Houston where they will play the Cougars April 16 at noon. Both times are Central.
