The University of Louisville women's tennis team was narrowly defeated by No. 35 ranked DePaul in a BIG EAST matchup in Sunday afternoon in Chicago. The Cardinals dropped the doubles point and were then just edged in the singles.

In doubles, Gia McKnight and Katarina Milinkovic paired to beat U of L's No. 33 ranked No. 1 team of Julia Fellerhoff and Mandy Brown with a score of 8-1. U of L's No. 2 doubles pair, Amelia Harris and Stefanie Villajuan evened the match with a win over Kelsey Lawson and Selma Salkovic 8-4. With the doubles point hinging on the No. 3 match, U of L's Becca Shine and Sarah Miller were edged 9-7 by Cali Gustafson and Christiana Raymond.

Down 1-0, the Cardinals lost another point when No. 1 singles player Julia Fellerhoff fell 6-1, 6-1 by Katarina Milinkovic. Gia McKnight scored the third point with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Kaysara Mandry. The match was clinched by Kelsey Lawson, who won at No. 5, going 6-2, 6-2 over Sarah Miller. U of L won the final three matches but it was too late. Gabi Duncan beat Cali Gustafson 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (6) followed by Sonia Bokhari's win at No .4 over Christiana Raymond (3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (6). Becca Shine won her match at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Selma Salkovic.
