The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to No. 28-ranked SMU Sunday afternoon in Dallas.

The Cardinals opened the match by dropping the doubles point. U of L's No. 33 ranked No. 1 pairs of Julia Fellerhoff and Becca Shine fell to Marta Lesniak and Aleksandra Malyarchikova 8-4. The Cardinals fell in the other two matches as well.

Fellerhoff fell to the No. 2 ranked player in the nation 8-4 at No. 1. Shine then fell 6-4, 6-3 to Edyta Cieplucha at No. 2. The match was clinched by SMU's Ashley Turpin who beat Sarah Miller 6-0, 6-2. The Cardinals also fell at No. 3, 4 and 5. The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, February 19 when they face Missouri at 10 a.m.
