
Women's Basketball Travels to Syracuse

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will face Syracuse on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The Cardinals will be looking to improve their current two-game win streak.
Louisville enters Wednesday's game with an overall record of 16-9 and a BIG EAST record of 7-4. The Cards are coming off a 57-46 win over No. 17/19 West Virginia on Sunday. Junior Monique Reid leads the team in scoring with 15.8 points per game. Freshman Shoni Schimmel is second with 15.6 points, while also leading the team and the league in assists at 5.4 per game. Senior Keshia Hines leads the team in rebounds in rebounding with 6.2 per game.
Syracuse enters the game with an overall record of 17-7 and a BIG EAST record of 5-6. The Orange are coming off a 70-49 win over Villanova on Saturday. Syracuse is led in scoring and rebounding by Kayla Alexander averaging 14.1 points and 7.5 boards per game. Iasia Hemingway is second on the team in scoring averaging 12.2 points per game, while sophomore Elashier Hall and senior Erica Morrow round out the top scorers averaging 11.0 and 10.0 points per game.
Louisville leads the series with Syracuse 4-3. The Cardinals are 1-2 against the Orange on the road.
