- Louisville recorded their sixth first round sweep in the NCAA Tournament. Louisville has recorded two-straight first round sweeps. UofL also recorded their second first round sweep over Ball State with the other coming in 2002.

- The Cardinals made their 22nd NCAA appearance and 13th-straight appearance this afternoon.
- Louisville is one of 18 programs with at least 20 NCAA appearances.
- Louisville's 13 straight appearances is the 10th-longest active streak in the nation.
- Win Louisville's win, the Cardinals improve to 9-1 when wearing white uniforms this season.
- The Cards improved to 12-4 when scoring first, 22-2 when hitting above .200 and 23-0 when winning the third set.
- Louisville opened up play with a 3-0 run in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year.
- Caitlin Welch recorded her fifth ace this afternoon in her third NCAA Tournament match. Last season she notched four against Purdue in the second round.
- Lola Arslanbekova led the offense with 19 kills while hitting .385. Arslanbekova has at least 10 kills in 25 consecutive matches.
- Taylor Brauneis recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 32 assists and 10 digs while Emily Juhl notched her second double-double finishing with 11 digs and 10 kills. As a team, Louisville has recorded 26 double-doubles this season.
- Louisville had four players finish with 10 or more digs in Welch (16), Juhl (11), Kaitlynn James (11) and Brauneis (10).
