
Turner Earns All-America Honors

University of Louisville field hockey player Hayley Turner has been named to the 2011 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America Second team.
Turner, a midfielder from Sydney, Australia, was the 2011 BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player of the Year. The senior co-captain led the Cardinals with 11 goals and eight assists for 30 points in the regular season. This marks the third All-West region selection for Turner who is also a three-time All-BIG EAST honoree. Turner is ranked in the top five on the school's list for career goals (39), assists (32) and points (110).
She becomes the seventh player in Louisville history to earn All-America honors, joining Nicole Youman, Heather Bustanoby, Janelle Avila, Jessica Javelet, Pip Sanders and Christy Hershey.
