
Turner and Collins Earn All-West Region Honors

University of Louisville field hockey players Hayley Turner and Caitlin Collins have been selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-West Region teams. Turner has been named to the first team, while Collins earned second team honors.
Turner, a midfielder from Sydney, Australia, was the 2011 BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player of the Year. The senior co-captain led the Cardinals with 11 goals and eight assists for 30 points in the regular season. This marks the third All-West region selection for Turner who is also a three-time All-BIG EAST honoree. Turner is ranked in the top five on the school's list for career goals (39), assists (32) and points (110).
Collins, a midfielder from Yorktown Heights, N.Y., is a team co-captain and has started every Louisville game in her four-year career. The two-time All-BIG EAST selection finished the season with three goals, three assists and nine points.
