
Women's Basketball Travels to Marquette

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will travel to Marquette for a midweek BIG EAST game against the Golden Eagles on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 8:00 p.m. in Al McGuire Center.
Louisville enters Wednesday's game with an overall record of 13-7 and a BIG EAST record of 4-2. The Cards are coming off a 83-47 home win against Cincinnati. Junior Monique Reid leads the team in scoring with 16.2 points per game. Freshman Shoni Schimmel is second with 15.8 points, while also leading the team and the league in assists at 5.7 per game. Senior Keshia Hines tops the team in rebounds with 6.4 boards per game.
Marquette enters the game with an overall record of 15-4 and a BIG EAST record of 3-3. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 69-63 loss to Syracuse on Saturday. Marquette is led by three seniors. Angel Robinson leads the team in scoring averaging 13.7 points per game. Tatiyiana McMorris is second in scoring with 11.0 points per game, while Paige Fiedorowicz rounds out the top scorers with 10.1 points per game. Sophomore Sarina Simmons leads the team in rebounding with 6.2 boards per game
Louisville leads the overall series 13-8. The Cardinals have won three straight against the Golden Eagles. The Cardinals hold a 5-4 lead against Marquette in Milwaukee. The last time the two teams meet in Milwaukee, Louisville squeaked out a 66-61 win.

Tickets are still available for the White Out game on Jan. 29 against Rutgers, the Pink game on Feb. 1 against No. 16 Georgetown, and the Red Out Feb. 13 against No. 9 West Virginia.
