
Women's Golf Finishes Second at BYU Classic

St. George, Utah - The Louisville women's golf team finished second at the BYU Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 306 in the final round to finish with a score of 905. San Diego State won the tournament with a score of 890. Nebraska finished third with a score of 921. Louisville played without their No. 2 player Laura Anderson in the final round. Anderson was pulled from the lineup after complications from her ankle injury.
Louisville senior Daphne Parker finished second, just one stroke from the leads. Parker shot a 74 in the final round and finished second with a score of 215. BYU's Maggie Yuan took the title with a score of 214.
Freshman Anna-Karin Ljungstrom finished tied at 9th for her first career Top 10 Finish. Ljungstrom shot a 73 in the final round to finish with a score of 224. Junior Sara-Maude Juneau finished tied at 11th. Juneau shot a 76 in the final round to finish with a score of 229.
Freshman Candice Wiley finished tied at 41st for the Cardinals. Wiley shot an 83 in the final round to finish with a score of 243. Maria Castellanos competed as an individual for the Cardinals. She finished at 37th after shooting an 84 in the final round for a score of 239.
The Cardinals will be back in action on April 2 at the Bryan National in Brown Summit, NC.
