Women's Tennis Falls to No. 18 Arizona State

The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 18 Arizona State women's tennis team. The Sun Devils took the doubles point and then swept the singles for the win.
In doubles action, ASU's Nicole Smith and Michelle Brycki dropped came back after losing a set to beat Kaysara Mandry and Jo-Ann Van Aerde. Ashlee Brown and Kelcy McKenna were next off the court, after they defeated Louise Noe and Stefanie Villajuan 8-2. Junior Micaela Hein and Senior Nadia Abdala finished shortly after, with a 8-3 victory over Mandy Brown and Amelia Harris.
Playing at the No. 1 spot, Sarah Miller fell to Micaela Hein (6-0, 6-1). McKenna didn't drop a game, winning (6-0, 6-0) over Amelia Harris to give the Sun Devils a 3-0 lead. Sophomore Sianna Simmons clinched the match for the Devils with a (6-2, 6-3) victory over Gabrielle Duncan at the No. 6 spot. Abdala and Hannah James were the next two off the court, when Abdala defeated Mandy Brown (6-1, 7-6) at the No. 3 spot and James defeated Kaysara Mandy 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 4 spot. Brycki brought the match to a close with her (6-2, 6-7, 10-5) victory over Stefanie Villajuan.
