The University of Louisville women's tennis team took the doubles point and then hung on to win three singles matches to beat the University of Missouri 4-2 in Columbia, Mo. late Friday night.

The Cardinals won all three doubles matches with Amelia Harris and Stefanie Villajuan striking first with a 8-1 win over Jamie Mera and Sofia Ayala at No. 2. Louise Noe and Kaysara Mandry clinched the doubles point with an 8-4 win at No. 3. Mandy Brown and Sarah Miller added momentum going into the singles with an 8-6 win at No. 1 over Mallory Weber and Kaitlyn Ritchie.

But the Tigers were not cowed as they came back and won the first singles match at No. 3. U of L's Sarah Miller battled Jamie Mera to a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1 to go up 2-1. Kaysara Mandry defeated Andrea Lewis at No. 4 with a score of 6-2, 6-3 and Mandy Brown clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Kaitlyn Richie for the win.

The Cardinals are now 5-3 and will play SMU tomorrow in Columbia.
