The University of Louisville fell 5-2 to BIG EAST rival No. 25 DePaul Saturday afternoon at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center.
"This was a match we could have and should have won," said U of L head coach Mark Beckham. "I had all freshman and sophomores out there and they battled. We have a lot of respect for DePaul and all credit to them for holding on."
The Cardinals dropped the doubles point with all three pairs falling. In singles, Kaysara Mandry beat Gia McKnight 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 and Gabrielle Duncan beat Cali Fustafson in a comeback three setter 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
