- With tonight's win over Notre Dame, the Cardinals have won 22 of its last 25 games during the month of February dating back to the 2006-07 season. Over the last six seasons, Louisville is 31-9 during the month of February.
- The Cardinals and Fighting Irish played their fourth overtime contest in the last eight games in the series. The Cardinals are now 1-1 this year in overtime after losing at Pittsburgh 82-77 on 1/16/10 and defeating Notre Dame tonight. It was the first double-overtime contest since a three-overtime win versus Marquette on 2/24/01. Louisville won 77-74.
- The Cardinals blocked seven more shots and have blocked 66 shots in the last 14 games. Twenty-one of Terrence Jennings' 28 blocks this year and 22 of Samardo Samuels' 32 swats have come in the last 14 contests. Sophomore Jared Swopshire set a career-high with three blocks. He swatted two against East Tennessee State on 11/21/09 and Connecticut on 2/1/10.
- Sophomore Samardo Samuels recorded a career-high 36 points, besting his previous career-best of 29 against Louisiana-Lafayette on 12/23/09. The 36 points by Samuels was the first time a Cardinal player scored 35 or more points since Reece Gaines tallied 37 versus St. Louis on 2/5/02. It also marked the fifth time this year that Samuels scored better than 20 points in a game, and the first since tallying 25 against Pittsburgh on 1/16/10. Samuels was 10-of-19 from the floor and 16-of-19 from the charity stripe against the Fighting Irish. Samuels has scored in double-figures in 22 of 26 games this year.
- Samuels hit a career-high 16 of-19 free throw attempts in the game, besting the previous-high of 13 made against Villanova on 1/11/10. The 17 attempts were also a new-career best.
- The Cardinals have now won four straight at home and are 135-23 under head coach Rick Pitino at Freedom Hall. Louisville moved to 14-3 at home this season.
- Senior Reginald Delk recorded a four-point play in overtime, recording the first four-pointer since Reece Gaines registered one versus St. Louis on 2/12/03.
- The Cardinals connected on a season-high 87.5 percent from the free throw line, connecting on 35-of-40 attempts. Louisville's previous-high was 86.7 percent in a loss to Villanova on 1/11.
