- In the first half, the Cardinals held Connecticut to just 25.9 percent shooting from the field and 14.3 percent from behind the arc. Connecticut, who entered the game leading the nation in blocks, recorded one in the first half.
- Senior Jerry Smith, who averaged just 5.4 points in the last five games, exploded for 14 first-half points and also added five rebounds. Smith finished the game with those same 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field.
- The Cardinals had one of their better games shooting the ball from behind the arc. Louisville was a solid 10-of-22 from behind the arc. It marked the fifth time that Louisville hit 10 or more 3-point field goals in a game. The Cardinals are 5-0 in those games.
- Senior Edgar Sosa recorded a season-best eight assists, which was one more than he had in a win over Arkansas on 11/17 and Western Carolina on 12/12. Sosa had eight of the team's 14 assists. Sosa also added a team-high 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
- The Cardinals blocked eight shots in the win tonight over Connecticut and have blocked 50 shots in the last 10 games. 19 of Terrence Jennings' 26 blocks have come in the last ten and 18 of Samardo Samuels' 27 swats have also come during that span.
- Louisville recorded just 10 turnovers in the win over Connecticut, marking the 15th time that Louisville has committed fewer turnovers than the opposition. Louisville is 12-3 in those games.
