
Women's Basketball Travels to No. 5 Xavier

Louisville, Ky. - The Louisville women's basketball team travels to Cincinnati to face No. 5 Xavier on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cintas Center. The trip kicks off a three-game road trip for the Cardinals after playing three of their first four games at home.
Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 3-1. The Cardinals are coming off their third straight win in a 97-43 victory over Southeast Missouri State on Friday. Junior Monique Reid leads the team in scoring averaging 16.5 points per game with 6.0 rebounds per game. Senior Keshia Hines leads the team in rebounds averaging 6.8 per game and is second in scoring at 10.3 per game.
Xavier is ranked fifth in the nation and enters the game with an overall record of 2-0. The Musketeers are coming off an 85-76 victory over Michigan on Nov. 16. Ta'Shia Phillips leads the team in scoring and on the boards averaging 18.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Amber Harris is second on the team with 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
Louisville leads the overall series against Xavier 6-2. In the last meeting, the Cardinals traveled to Cincinnati to face the Musketeers and came away with a 65-55 victory on Nov. 22, 2008. Louisville is 3-1 all-time on Xavier's home court.
