Women's Basketball Hosts Southeast Missouri State on Friday

Louisville, Ky. - The Louisville women's basketball team will play host to Southeast Missouri State on Friday, Nov. 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals are coming off two consecutive wins against Ohio and Houston Baptist. The game will be broadcast live on WAZOO Sports (Insight 524) with Drew Deener and Bob Valvano.
The Cardinals are led by junior Monique Reid who leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 16.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Freshman Shoni Schimmel ranks second on the team in scoring with 11.0 points per game. Schimmel also leads the team in assists with 5.3 assists per game.
Southeast Missouri State enters the game with a 1-2 overall record. They are coming off a 70-57 loss at home against Northern Iowa. They are led in scoring by sophomore forward Bailie Roberts with 9.7 points per game. Sophomore forward Brittany Harriel leads the team on the boards averaging 6.7 rebounds per game along with 9.3 points per game.
It is the first meeting between the two teams. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD and www.UofLsports.com. Jim Kelch will call the game and Paul Sanderford will add color commentary.
